Building envelopes in metal - Ideas and concepts for the next decade and beyond.

The ambition is the promotion of design innovation for building envelopes in metal and the stimulation of young design potential and talent.
Students are challenged to question or even redefine the possible set of functions of a modern building envelope. In the context of the global marketplace for hi-tech architecture, issues such as ecology, transparency, opacity, communication, straight or curved geometries, adaptability, versatility, surface texture or standards for industrial mass production, are of paramount importance for the ever increasing requirements of high performance metal building envelopes.
