Vacancy: Interior Designer

Marcel Wanders studio designs for a global market and focuses on product and interior design. The studio is divided into product and interior design teams and employs approximately 25 people. The studio is based in Amsterdam.
For the interior design section we are looking for designers with experience in interior design and furniture design.
Currently we are working on large scale projects all over the world including two hotel projects in the US, a fashion store in the Middle East and some residential projects.

Role
- You will work closely with the senior designer in realising the interior designs of Marcel
Wanders.
- Besides interior projects, you will also contribute to the design and development of
furniture and products.
- You will do research, develop concepts, make presentation drawings and provide detailed
2D drawings and specifications. You will instruct the 3D visualisers.
- You will communicate with the client and subcontractors and manage the production
process of interior elements.
- Clients vary from top labels in furniture, electronics and fashion to the hospitality
industry and real estate developers.

Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience as a designer of interiors and products
- Affinity to Marcel Wanders interiors
- Knowledge in materials and production techniques
- Potential to develop towards a senior designer role
- Flexible attitude, fast but with attention to detail
- Reliable and inspiring in customer contacts
- Organized
- Feels inspired and challenged to contribute to the spirit, ambition and style of the studio
- Team player
Education, skills
- At least a Bachelors degree from a renowned design academy
- Literacy in Illustrator, Photoshop and Vector Works is a must
- Making of technical drawings for production
- At least fluent in English
- Conceptual approach of styling, colours and material
Willingness to relocate to Amsterdam is required.
